Hello, from the shadows…

Ray or Rachael (depending on what season of life you met her in) is a widow, end-of-life doula, yoga practitioner and guide, and sacred maker whose art and writing took shape in the wake of loss.

For four years, she served as a caregiver for her husband Brian through the slow progression of his terminal illness, walking with him through the sacred threshold of death. Bearing witness to each others vulnerability, grief, and presence opened the door for creativity to flow inside their death nest.

Through sharing a part of her story, she aspires to offer a glimmer of creative light to those deep in grief, reminding them that death can hold beauty, and that no one walks this path alone.

Following her experience with death, she now guides others in rooting with presence, trusting their inner knowing, and embracing the full emotion spectrum with reverence.

She teaches community workshops in art meditation, emphasizing the spiritual aspects of death, mindfulness, and creative reflection. Her intention is to guide others to connect with the themes of mortality, stillness and transformation through intuitive, hands-on practices.
